Safraz Iqbal – Manager, IT Infrastructure and Operations
Safraz joined York University in 2023 from the Primary Healthcare Sector, where he served for 11 years as the IT Infrastructure, Operations, and Cybersecurity lead, supporting ten Indigenous Primary Healthcare Access Centres and 83 Community Health Centres across Ontario. He led the Alliance’s IT Security community of practice. Safraz also brings banking industry IT experience, having been a senior systems analyst at well-known financial institutions. Safraz also holds Cyber Security Certifications from York University.
Kevin Haghighat – Computer Technician
A member of York University community since 1994, Kevin joined the School of the Arts, Media, Performance and Design in 2011. His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and he is a Microsoft Certified Professional (2003). While pursuing a Masters of Science in Information Systems, Kevin maintains his status as a part-time professor at Seneca College’s Faculty of Continuing Education.
Aradhya Banerjee – Learning Technology Support Assistant
Aradhya joined AMPD Computing in 2025. Aradhya provides AMPD faculty members with assistance with eClass setup and configuration support.
Michael Shen – Senior Technician
A York staff member since 1999, Michael came to the School of the Arts, Media, Performance and Design in 2001. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from York University and holds Sun Microsystems certifications in Unix and Java, as well as AS/400 and AIX certifications from IBM.
Farshad Naderi – Web Developer
A Web Developer with 10 years of expertise, Farshad fuses his unique combination of design and production skills with his training in web development to build and implement successful websites. With a solid understanding of what’s possible online, Farshad is uniquely placed to guide AMPD toward practical and viable web strategies. A York staff member since 2021, Farshad joined AMPD in 2024.
